When I first set out on my journey, I wanted to lose weight and not be considered morbidly obese. I wanted to get off my blood pressure medication and no longer have to use a CPAP machine at night so I could sleep. I wanted my ankles not to swell up like grapefruits after a day at work. I wanted to be considered a fit, healthy woman. I had been yo-yo dieting all my life, with my top weight at almost 280 pounds. Something had to change.

I had a gastric sleeve procedure in 2014. It was one of the most difficult things I've ever experienced. The weight came off, but my strength dropped as well; I knew I had to do something else because I work in the corrections industry.

One day I read a magazine with an ad. I went to the site and was hooked. I completed a few programs and while searching for my next challenge, I saw a program by Jim Stoppani. I immediately fell in love with Jim’s way of explaining all aspects of fitness — workouts, nutrition and supplements.

I found Pre JYM and gave it a try. I loved it! It didn't make me jittery and lasted for my entire workout. I've done Jim’s New Year’s Challenge, Sick Arms Challenge and the Summer Shred Challenge. After watching many of Jim's videos, I decided that I needed to fuel my body with proper supplements, so I ordered all the stacks.

I use all of Jim’s supplements except for Alpha JYM. I've seen great results and my progress just continues. My friends and co-workers ask about my supplements and workouts and I tell them about JYM Supplement Science. You just can’t argue with the results!

People regularly ask me what they can do to get fit. I recommend Jim’s programs and his nutritional advice. You have to eat for success. And having the knowledge is key.

I've lost almost 130 pounds and gone from a BMI of over 40% to 25.4%. My body fat percentage has dropped to 26.2%. I'm not where I want to be yet, but I'm headed in the right direction. Seeing the changes in my body keeps me motivated to keep pushing myself. I'm a grandma, but I don’t have to look like one.

I follow the Dieting 101 plan and modify it according to the nutrition plan for the current program I'm doing. It's more of a challenge for me since I have eating restrictions, so I plan out meals and snacks daily. My eating routine is like clockwork: I have to eat every couple of hours, and when I'm not eating I'm pushing my water intake.

I work out about four to six times a week, depending on what program I'm on. I have had several obstacles on my journey, everything from severe dehydration at times to small injuries here and there. I've had people put me down, and at times I've allowed them to bring me down.

But getting fit has given me confidence, and for once in my life I like who I see in the mirror. I'm 46 years old and I'm in the best shape of my life. It hasn't come without bumps and bruises, but it’s so worth it!

The biggest key to my success has been the support I get from my friends and family. One of my biggest supporters is the JYM Army — I love the support, feedback and the family-like feeling.

I will continue to work on building muscle and getting stronger. I love my arms and finally with the Shred Challenge, I have abs! My biggest goal now is to get my legs up to the next level; I want to have killer calves, quads and hammies! Bring on the next challenge!!
