I started my fitness journey back on November 22, 2015, at the age of 30. At that point in my life, I was the heaviest I've ever been. I weighed 235 pounds with well over 32 percent body fat.

I decided I needed to make a change in my lifestyle. I started doing my own nutrition and workout programs. I did this until February 2016 with some decent results, but then one day I stumbled upon some of Jim Stoppani’s YouTube videos.

Since discovering Jim’s programs and supplements, they've changed my life. I wasn’t eating enough food on my own diet plan, so I started following Jim's nutrition advice. I was amazed with how eating more quality food and foods that I loved help me shed body fat and gain lean muscle. I also started taking Pre JYM, Post JYM, Pro JYM, Vita JYM, Omega JYM, and ZMA JYM.

I set a goal for myself to reach at the end of July 2016. After completing a few programs, I reached my goal of hitting 160 pounds. This put me at a total of 75 pounds lost in eight months. Then I decided that I needed to set some bigger goals to keep the motivation going: I will be competing in my first-ever physique competition in April 2017.

So far, I've completed Shortcut to Shred, Super Shredded 8 (SS8), Down and Up Mass, HIIT 100, The Daily Grind, and I'm currently on Week 3 of SS8 again. As of today, I am down to 145 pounds with 6.5 percent body fat. A total of 90 pounds lost in 14 months, all before my 32nd birthday.

This has definitely been a hard road at times, as I'm in sales and on the road two to four nights a week. Learning how to meal prep and pack the right foods are key to my success. There have been times at business dinners that I've had to watch everyone eat burgers and nachos, but sacrifices must be made at times.

I just recently started the Intermittent Fasting Carb Cycle Diet to help allow some wiggle room for some of these nights away. The results so far in just four weeks of IFCC have held up!

Fitness cannot be achieved by wishful thinking, but for anyone who puts their mind to it and puts the effort in, the results will come. Each day that I felt like I wasn’t seeing any changes, I told myself, “I didn’t gain all this weight in six months; trust the process.”
