From 245 to Lean and Dialed In: Cesar Granados’ Hard-Earned Transformation

After years of weight gain fueled by poor habits, Cesar Granados dropped more than 70 pounds, built his best physique ever, and finally got abs. Here's how.

From 245 to Lean and Dialed In: Cesar Granados’ Hard-Earned Transformation

Cesar Granados knows what it’s like to go in the wrong direction—and how to turn it around.

A former high school athlete who played football and competed in shot put and discus, Cesar hovered around 185 pounds in his late teens. He joined the U.S. Army Reserves at 17 in solid shape, but over the next few years, his habits shifted.

Drinking became routine. Nutrition took a back seat. The result was rapid weight gain.

“I witnessed myself going from a good 181 pounds to 245 pounds,” Cesar says. “That was from poor eating habits and drinking a good six-pack per day.”

Why Cardio And Undereating Stalled Fat Loss

Like a lot of people trying to get lean, Cesar initially attacked the problem the wrong way: more cardio, less food, a sporadic and aimless lifting routine. “I didn’t have a clue how to eat or the proper way to exercise,” he says.

He leaned on coffee for energy, mixed in long cardio sessions, and lifted without much structure. Early on, he also experimented with supplements, eventually coming across Pre JYM. “I remember I felt a great feeling from taking Pre JYM before workouts,” he says.

Still, without a clear plan, progress only went so far. “I got down to around 205 pounds and stayed there for months,” he says.

Shortcut To Shred Nutrition Changed Everything

Everything changed when Cesar came across Jim Stoppani’s Shortcut to Shred nutrition content .

“That video changed my life,” he says. “That’s when I realized I had to eat more.”

Instead of restricting calories, he started fueling his body properly. At the same time, he committed to doing things the right way—following structured JimStoppani.com programs through the Jim Stoppani Workout App and using the full JYM supplement system .

The results came fast. “In about two to three months of eating properly, lifting, and taking the JYM products correctly, I went from 205 pounds down to 185,” he says.

Training Programs That Delivered

From there, Cesar locked in with real structure.

He’s run multiple JimStoppani.com programs through the Jim Stoppani Workout App, with Project X and H.I.P.E . among his favorites.

“I love weight lifting,” he says. “And I love the philosophy that you’ll drop fat and gain muscle by lifting.”

His training style is high effort and high volume, often combining full-body workouts with intensity techniques like drop sets and rest-pause training . Cardio is still in the mix, but weight training drives his results.

“Once you catch on to the workouts, it becomes part of your daily routine,” he says.

Losing 70+ Pounds And Finally Getting Abs

Today, Cesar sits at a lean 173 pounds—more than 70 pounds down from his peak—and in better shape than ever.

“For years, even playing football and being in the military, I couldn’t get abs,” he says. “Now I finally have them.”

The improvements go beyond aesthetics. “My endurance is way up, and it feels effortless compared to when I first started,” he says. “My mood has changed for the better, too.”

High-Protein Diet And Carb Cycling For Fat Loss

One of Cesar’s biggest breakthroughs was realizing fat loss doesn’t require starving yourself.

“I used to think I had to eat less and do a lot of cardio,” he says. “Now I eat a lot—and I enjoy it.”

His approach centers on consistency and structure:

“I recommend choosing foods you can stick with,” he says. “For me, that’s salmon, chicken, eggs, and pistachios.”

"Catch Yourself Now"

Cesar’s message is simple: Don’t wait.

“You can either let yourself go and waste your time, or you can catch yourself right now,” he says.

Start with the right information. Follow a proven program. Stay consistent.

For Cesar, that meant combining proven programs like Shortcut to Shred, Project X, and H.I.P.E., and the JYM supplement line—including products like Pre JYM and Alpha JYM X .

The result isn’t just a transformation—it’s a lifestyle.

“I plan to be a lifetime JYM Army family member,” he says.
