How Jesse Webb Transformed His Body and Mind with the SS8 Challenge

After years of poor habits and self-doubt, he used the SS8 Challenge to transform his physique, confidence, and future goals.
When Jesse Webb talks about his fitness journey, he sums it up with one word: steps.
Not a single leap or some magical moment—but a deliberate, steady progression from rock bottom to where he is today. Now, Jesse is not only in the best shape of his life; he’s fired up for what’s next.
“I never intended to be on a fitness journey at all,” says Jesse, who had spent two decades being sedentary and eating poorly. “I found myself obese in my 40s and was just tired of feeling like a lazy slob.”
At first, his only goal was to slow down the weight gain.
He started by cutting sugar and trying intermittent fasting . “My friend told me that if I could make it through two weeks with basically no sugar, the hunger pangs would turn off,” Jesse recalls. “He was right.”
That change alone helped him drop 10 to 15 pounds.
Next came the gym. “I lost enough weight that I felt comfortable going,” he says. His early workouts were simple—just a handful of exercises during his lunch break—but consistent. Over time, he added more exercises, more weight, more sets. “I just continued pushing myself,” he says.
Then he found The Encyclopedia of Muscle & Strength by Dr. Jim Stoppani. “I wasn’t ready for the full programs yet," he says, "but I started putting the principles into practice—diet, training, everything.” Slowly, over the course of 15 months, Jesse lost nearly 50 pounds.
“I kept telling myself this is a lifestyle change, not a race,” he says. “I spent 20 years getting fat, so what if it took five or ten to get in shape?”
Once he hit his weight goal, Jesse needed something new to chase.
That’s when the “crazy” idea hit: What if he trained for a bodybuilding competition? So he joined a more serious gym and started working on his physique—including his long-neglected legs and abs.
From July 2024 to April 2025, he added eight pounds of muscle and gained back about 15 pounds total—by design. Then he saw an ad for the SS8 Challenge on Facebook , and it couldn’t have been more perfectly timed.
“I knew this lined up with my goals exactly,” Jesse says. “I didn’t want to just compete—I wanted to WIN.”
So he loaded up on SS8 Advanced Fat Burner , ZMA JYM , and other JYM supplements and gave the challenge everything he had.
And he had to fight for it. “I battled pulled muscles, abdominal cramps, migraines,” Jesse says. “Then in Week 5 I got vertigo from dehydration. That finally broke my perfect workout streak.”
Jesse quickly ditched the hydration products he’d been using and switched to JYM Hydration . “Within two days” he says, “I was back to normal. Within a week, I felt like I had a whole new gear of energy unlocked.”
He finished the challenge strong. Shredded. Focused. Energized. And ready for more.
Next up? “I’m starting Full-Body Fire next week,” Jesse says. “After that, I have a crazy idea forming about running a marathon…”
The steps continue.
