After years of starting and stopping, one wake-up call pushed her to commit—and win the 2026 New Year’s Challenge on JimStoppani.com.
Zineb Azza didn’t expect a casual introduction to change the course of her fitness journey. Her husband first showed her Dr. Jim Stoppani’s workout programs while the two were living in the United Kingdom. It piqued her interest… and then quickly turned into something much bigger.
“I browsed several of the stories on Dr. Jim Stoppani’s website and I was intrigued by the results people were achieving in a short time,” she says.
Her own journey began with the 2022 New Year’s Challenge, coming off of pandemic lockdowns and a stretch without consistent gym access. Like many, she had put on weight and needed a reset—something structured.
“I am a structured person, except with hitting the gym and finding a solid program and diet plan to follow,” she says.
Dr. Stoppani’s programs gave her that structure. The issue wasn’t the plan; it was finishing it. “Honestly, I was really into Dr. Jim Stoppani’s programs, but the intensity was nothing like what I was used to,” Zineb says.
Over the next few years, she stayed in the mix, even competing in a few challenges and seeing some progress along the way. But one thing kept holding her back: She never actually finished a full challenge.
After moving to the United States in 2023, Zineb’s routine shifted again. Living in a busy downtown area meant more opportunities to eat out, and she took full advantage of them. That lifestyle eventually caught up to her.
“In 2025, I was told that I had alarming results on blood work such as high cholesterol,” she says.
That moment forced a change in perspective. Fitness wasn’t just about looking better anymore. It was about getting her health back under control. With the 2026 New Year’s Challenge approaching, Zineb set a clear goal: finish what she started.
“I told myself that I wanted to finish a program and at least be mentioned by Dr. Jim Stoppani when he announced the finalists,” she says.
She achieved that… and much more.
This time, she didn’t wait for the challenge to begin before getting serious. Zineb mapped out her workouts, planned her supplement schedule, and started meal prepping ahead of time. She even posted her plan somewhere visible, creating a daily reminder of the commitment she had made.
Nutrition, more than training, became the real test. “I followed a strict diet and counted macros and calories that were in line with Dr. Jim Stoppani’s Dieting 101 ,” she says. “This was the biggest challenge for me. I was used to eating whatever I felt like.”
That discipline showed up in real-life situations, not just on paper. At work potlucks, where passing on food isn’t always easy, she stuck to her plan without exception. “My co-workers asked me why I wouldn’t eat their home cooking,” she says. “I told them that I am competing in an online fitness challenge.”
The reactions were mixed. “I got some positive words of encouragement, while other coworkers told me that a lunch ‘won’t make a difference,’” she says.
Zineb didn’t budge, and her commitment paid off.
For the first time, Zineb followed through from start to finish—and the results spoke for themselves. She dropped an impressive 19 pounds in only six weeks while also gaining lean muscle and getting stronger. In other words, she transformed her body.
She was named the female Grand Prize winner of the 2026 New Year’s Challenge, which came with $10,000 and a trip to Hollywood. The transformation and reward reflected not just one program, but years of building toward this moment.
The difference this time wasn’t luck or timing. It was execution—day after day, with no shortcuts.
Along the way, she also changed her perspective on supplementation. “I was never really into taking supplements due to the poor taste,” she says. “But after my husband had me try the JYM line , I was hooked.”
Her go-to products included Pre JYM in Peach Sunrise, Grape Candy, and Strawberry Kiwi flavors, along with Cookies n’ Cream Pro JYM and JYM Hydration .
“The Pre JYM gave me the clean energy that I needed to power through the tough workouts… especially after a long day at work,” she says.
Winning the 2026 New Year’s Challenge didn’t mark an endpoint—it created momentum.
“After winning, I gained confidence that has propelled me to take on the 2026 Summer Challenge ,” she says.
Now, the goal is to keep progressing, continue improving her health, and show up in the best shape of her life for an upcoming summer vacation. Looking back, Zineb is clear on what separated this attempt from the others.
“I have tried many online coaches and programs before, but nothing has come close to the quality of education that is provided by Jim Stoppani, his team, and the JYM Army ,” she says.
This time, she didn’t just follow the plan.
She committed to it—and finished.
