At the age of 5, I was diagnosed with Tourette’s Syndrome, so needless to say I didn't have the brightest of childhood or teen years. But back in 2013, I decided that enough was enough. I would do my best to improve myself and no longer live with a label on my head based on the opinions of others. I wanted to be the one who determines who I am. Little did I know at the time how that decision would change my life to the degree that is did.

My initial goal was to lose weight. A concept to me that seemed very simple and straightforward. Eat less, work out more than you eat and you’ll burn fat – pretty self-explanatory, I thought. That first year of working out was filled with struggles. My family thought I had become a workout-a-holic; friends kept telling me to "take it easy," and the world just seemed to want things to be the same. Not me. I wanted change – change in my life, my health and my physique.

What kept me going was my girlfriend and social media. It may seem very narcissistic, but posting every single day really made me accountable. It forced me to continue and push forward. So other than from my girlfriend and keeping myself accountable, the biggest thing I sorely lacked in the beginning of my fitness journey was support.

As I was very new to the whole working out routine, I started with the basics: all of the P90X programs, all of the Insanity programs and others. I lost weight, but I didn’t gain knowledge. And one day, as I was browsing for my next routine, I stumbled upon Jim Stoppani’s Shortcut to Shred. After watching that first instructional video, I was hooked. My goals changed. It went from just losing weight to gaining lean muscle mass, burning fat and having a healthier lifestyle. My goals were now in long-term perspectives.

With every new Jim Stoppani program I completed, I hit new PRs for every kind of lift. Every day, every week, every month, I got stronger, leaner and faster. My weight has been at a steady 170 pounds for awhile, but after Jim Stoppani’s programs, I’m up to 180 pounds. As for body fat, I couldn’t give an exact number, as I don’t have proper equipment to measure; all I can say in that the mirror is telling me all I need to know. Furthermore, I’ve noticed a lot of muscle mass overall. I remember one evening after a workout, I was putting on jeans (not skinny jeans) and I had a hard time wearing them. First, they weren’t just washed, so I know it wasn’t the laundry machine. And second, it wasn’t even leg day. Hoorah for gains!

As of February 2016, I’ve completed Shortcut to Shred, Down and Up Mass, HIIT 100, Super-Man, Fitter Faster Leaner, Super Shredded 8, and Jim's Giant Program. With Jim Stoppani’s programs, I’ve made more progress in size, strength, physique and speed in less than one year than in two years doing anything else. Along with the amazing programs, becoming a member of JimStoppani.com gave me the resources on health and nutrition I needed to make my goals a reality. Dieting 101 is just amazing and the numerous articles available is incredible. With the help of Dieting 101, healthy eating and nutrition were no longer my biggest obstacles.

And of course, I can’t NOT mention the JYM System. There is no doubt in my mind that the ENTIRE JYM line of supplements is beyond top of the line. I continue to take Pro JYM, Pre JYM, Post JYM, Shred JYM, Vita JYM, ZMA JYM, and Omega JYM, and these products have made nutrition into something else entirely.

I get compliments here and there from friends and family about my physique. Now they ask me how I did it. For those who are looking to change your life for the better, you really need not look any further. Jim Stoppani and the JYM Army have been the source of support, knowledge and motivation I needed from day one. I now have much more confidence in myself – 2016 is going to be a great year for me as I look forward to more gains. The best is yet to come!
